Different types of characters of childs

Each child has their way of being. Diversity is a source of wealth that makes personal relationships possible. Beyond stereotypes and the fact that each being is unique and unrepeatable, there are four types of chronic character in children. Each child’s personality type directly influences all areas of their life, from the way they relate to others to their decision-making, how they receive and process information, their way of acting and behaving in each moment, etc. The following FastlyHealarticle shows some of the most common childhood character types and traits that can define a little one’s personality.

The shy boy

The shy child wants to make new friends even if it is difficult for him to relate. He has specific barriers as a result of his shyness. However, he is a child who wants to play with others.

In that case, parents can teach their children formulas to integrate into new groups of friends. For example, you can explain to your child that when he wants to join a group, he has to come up and ask to see if he can play.

In the same way, parents must encourage the child to invite other friends home since, at home, he feels more comfortable and safe than anywhere else.

The leader of the group

The group leader is that child who always assumes the leadership role and consolidates in his position because he finds that many people pay attention to him. They are people who have initiative and positive energy and are popular.

However, children who are leaders also need to understand the effect that so much order has on others. For this reason, parents have to talk with the child to explain that everyone has the right to decide, make their own decisions, and contribute their ideas.

The outgoing child

Another type of character in children is what we call extroverted. The extrovert is that amiable child who is excited about making new friends and meeting new people.

The outgoing child easily enjoys it but may also be disappointed when he encounters children who are not as receptive to personal relationships as he is.

The lonely boy

Some children are very comfortable when they are alone. They easily enjoy playing with any toy without needing to share that moment with other children or adults.

However, although parents must respect the child’s way of being, they must also promote socialization so that he can share time with friends and learn to interact with other people.

The traits that define a child’s personality

Even though each child, as we have already mentioned at the beginning, is unique and manifests its character, some traits can define their personality and their way of acting at different times of their life. Let’s see, next, what these traits are:

  • Their daily activity: some very active children cannot be still for a moment and, on the contrary, others are relatively calm and enjoy a more passive way of life.
  • Adaptability: we find children who adapt quickly to any change in their life, but others take a lot of those changes or the novelties that appear in their daily routine. In the latter case, it is essential to maintain practices and introduce all the changes little by little in the child’s life.
  • The intensity in the expression of emotions: some children express their feelings more intensely than others than those who do so in a more subtle way or even do not, thus increasing the risk that their needs will be ignored.
  • Attention and autonomy: on the one hand, we find children who need constant attention from adults. On the other hand, others are much more autonomous and independent and know how to enjoy their solitude.
  • Sensory sensitivity: children who are more sensitive to changes in temperature, lights, smells, etc., tend to be more likely to develop mania and be more detailed people in the future than children who, on the contrary, are less aware of those variations.
