Eyelid diseases are very common and can be caused by a variety of things. Allergies, infections, and even certain medications can cause eyelid swelling, redness, and itchiness. If you suspect eyelid disease, it is important to see an ophthalmologist or dermatologist for proper diagnosis and treatment.

What is eyelid dermatitis?

Eyelid dermatitis is a condition that causes the skin on the eyelids to become inflamed. The most common symptom of eyelid dermatitis is itching, but the condition can also cause redness, swelling, and burning. Eyelid dermatitis can be caused by a number of different things, including allergies, irritants, and infections. Treatment for eyelid dermatitis typically includes the use of topical corticosteroids and antihistamines.
