Parasites are diseases that occur due to infection with organisms known as parasites. In treating these diseases, drugs known as antiparasitics are needed, and Ivexterm belongs to this group.

ivexterm is a drug composed of Ivermectin, a broad-spectrum drug mainly used to treat intestinal conditions. In addition to this affectation, it has also been used in infections such as onchocerciasis, strongoilordosis, head or pubic lice, and scabies.

A doctor should indicate this medicine after determining if the symptoms that appear correspond to those of a parasitic disease. Next, in this FastlyHealarticle, you will learn much more about this drug called Ivexterm: what it is for, its dosage, and how it is taken.

ivexterm: Mechanism of action

ivexterm is a medicine used to treat infections caused by parasites, which is why it belongs to the group of antiparasitic drugs.

Ivermectin is the active compound of this drug. It acts by binding very selectively to chloride ion channels generated by glutamate found in muscle and nerve cells of invertebrate organisms. In this way, it increases the permeability of the cell membrane toward chloride ions. It thus causes hyperpolarization of the muscle or nerve cell, producing paralysis and death of the parasite.

What is Ivexterm for

ivexterm is a drug used in the treatment of parasitosis, so its prescription is intended for the treatment of the following diseases:

They can often be seen in people who wander without shoes, but they also affect any part of the body. It is characterized by very itchy lesions or the presence of nodules.
